Google is set to launch the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro smartphones at an event scheduled for October 6. The tech giant might also launch the first-ever Pixel Watch along with the smartphone series. According to a report by GizmoChina, the expected US pricing of the upcoming Pixel 7 series smartphones has been revealed.

Both Pixel 7 and 7 Pro are also confirmed to launch in India and customers can start pre-ordering from the date of the launch event. Google will start shipping these devices on October 18. As per the report, the Pixel 7 smartphone (codenamed Panther) is likely to be priced at $599 (roughly around Rs Rs 48,500) while the Pixel 7 Pro (codenamed Cheetah) might carry a price tag of $899 (roughly around Rs 72,800).

Last year, Google launched the Pixel 6 series at similar prices and it is important to note that these are the US pricing. Just like the recently launched iPhone 14 series, the Pixel 7 series might also see a price hike in other markets.

The Pixel 7 Pro is expected to retain the majority of design elements from its predecessor — the Pixel 6 Pro. The Pro variant of the upcoming series is likely to sport a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display and the latest Geekbench listing has also revealed that the smartphone will be powered by the Google Tensor G2 chipset backed with 12GB of RAM.

On the camera front, the Pixel 7 Pro is expected to house a triple rear camera setup that will include — a 50MP main camera (Samsung GN1 sensor), a 13MP ultra-wide lens (Sony IMX38 sensor) and a 48MP telephoto sensor (Samsung GM1 sensor). The upcoming device may include a 10.87MP (Samsung 3J1 sensor) front shooter for selfies and video calls.

The base model of the upcoming series is expected to boast a 6.4-inch 90Hz OLED display and may also come powered by Google’s in-house Tensor G2 processor.

For photography, the Pixel 7 device is likely to have a dual rear camera setup that will include — a 50MP main camera (Samsung GN1 sensor) and a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens(Sony IMX38 sensor). This device might also ship with the same front camera sensor that will be available on the Pro variant.
