Apple releases new software update for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and MacBook users: Here’s why it is important to update immediately

Apple releases new software update for iPhone iPad Apple Watch and MacBook users Heres why it is important to update immediately

It has only been a week since Cupertino-based tech giant Apple rolled out major software updates across its product categories and now the company has rolled out a new update again for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and MacBook users.

The new software updates seem to come with multiple bug fixes and improvements which is why it is recommended to upgrade to them immediately.

iOS 14.5.1 and iPadOS 14.5.1
When it comes to iPhone and iPad software updates, Apple says that it has fixed the issue where users have not been seeing App Tracking Transparency prompts. “This update fixes an issue with App Tracking Transparency where some users who previously disabled Allow Apps to Request to Track in Settings may not receive prompts from apps after re-enabling it. This update also provides important security updates and is recommended for all users,” said Apple.

Other than this, Apple has also fixed the issue with malicious web content that could lead to arbitrary code execution and “may have been actively exploited.”

watchOS 7.4.1
The new software update for Apple Watch comes with security improvements, which aren’t revealed by Apple.

macOS Big Sur 11.3.1
Just as the case with iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, the latest software update for MacBooks also comes with security improvements. Again, the company does not detail what’s new in macOS Big Sur 11.3.1 instead says, “macOS Big Sur 11.3.1 provides important security updates and is recommended for all users.”

The security notes, however, reveal that the issue addressed a memory corruption issue and an integer overflow in WebKit — both of which may have been exploited using maliciously crafted web content.
